ANTIGONE, a tragedy by Sophocles - CLOSING NIGHT

TEATER NEUF INTERNATIONAL proudly presents:
ANTIGONE, Sophocles' timeless tragedy of moral courage and political consequence.
Antigone’s brothers have killed each other in a civil war. One is buried with honor; the other is left to rot by decree of the new regime. When Antigone defies the law to bury him, she sets off a chain of resistance, grief, and confrontation that shakes the foundations of power. Set in the aftermath of the 1948–49 Nakba in Palestine, our production of Antigone sets out to reflect our own silence in the face of injustice today. As Antigone stands alone against the state, her story becomes a mirror to our complicity, our fear, and our fading sense of duty to the dead.
